How tokens work: Account research uses itemized tokens (8 person + 2 company when each runs, plus 1 per stale research question). Importing customers or prospects does not spend tokens.
Common questions
- Do I need to connect my inbox?
- No. PitchSmart is a research and drafting tool. You review the output and send from wherever you already send (Gmail, Outreach, Apollo, Instantly). Nothing is sent automatically.
- What file format do I need?
- A standard CSV with at minimum: first name, last name, email, job title, company name, and company website or domain. Most CRM and customer success exports work out of the box.
- Can I use this for current customers, not just prospects?
- Yes. The same pipeline researches customers and prospects against the markers that show they need a specific product, so you can organize upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Does the trial expire?
- No. There is no countdown. You get 200 tokens once, roughly 20 fully researched accounts, and you spend them at whatever pace suits you.
- What happens to my data when the tokens run out?
- Nothing is deleted and your login keeps working. Everything you researched stays readable and exportable. Researching more accounts and drafting new emails need a paid plan.
- Is it worth it if I only have a small list?
- Even 10 accounts is enough to see the difference. Most teams run their first batch on the free tokens, compare output quality to what they currently do manually, and decide from there.
